Wood Vinegar All in one DIY organic fertilizer The comprehensive HOW TO WITH VIDEOS.

Wood Vinegar .

What it is :
Wood vinegar is a byproduct from charcoal production. It is a liquid generated from the gas and combustion of fresh wood burning in airless condition. When the gas is cooled, it condenses into liquid. Raw wood vinegar has more than 200 chemicals, such as acetic acid, formaldehyde, ethyl-valerate, methanol, tar, etc. Wood vinegar improves soil quality, eliminates pests and controls plant growth, but is slightly toxic to fish and very toxic to plants if too much is applied. It accelerates the growth of roots, stems, tubers, leaves, flowers, and fruit. In certain cases, it may hold back plant growth if the wood vinegar is applied at different volumes. A study shows that after applying wood vinegar in an orchard, fruit trees produce increased amounts of fruit. Wood vinegar is safe to living matters in the food chain, especially, insects that help pollinate plants.

This is an example for larger scale production :
Wood vinegar is made from burning fresh wood in a charcoal kiln, made from a 200-liter oil drum and 120-cm-tall concrete chimney with a 4-inch diameter. The kiln contains 63-83 kg of fresh wood. Wood good for vinegar must have a heartwood.

Simple Stand up VIDEO INPUT :

So with this set up basically I had found a tank and used the mud to seal and a 15 bamboo chimney and had very good results from a very simple setup.
A bit tedious but it got the job done.
More expensive than my regular setups but it did work and was extremely practical.

Costing :
2,500 PHP for the simple barrel setup there and that is maximum its simple yet economical.

Theory :
A huge problem in the organic industry is accessibility and also Korean type concoctions being too expensive for the perspective farmer to scale up their operations.
This in many cases replaces quite a few of the Korean style concoctions.
Costing 7 pesos per liter to produce it is a no brainer for the organic farmer looking to scale up .

Benefits :
Compost inducer. (IMO/FPJ replacement) white fungus shown below.
Probiotics (LABS replacement)
Produces CalPhos much faster
Blends for very powerful pesticides
Water purifier
Fungicide
Easy to produce
Drawback :
6 month ferment (worth the wait.)

Production :
Basically it is a byproduct of charcoal production.
And it is usually just tossed by the charcoal producer.
Using most any kind of wood EXCEPT EUCALYPTUS OR PINE.
DISTILLATION MUST OCCUR BEFORE HUMAN CONSUMPTION IS CONSIDERED.
If you are making wood vinegar for animal usage use fruit bearing woods as they are non toxic and the mixture will not be harmful after distillation.
For plant use pretty much everything else is fair game.
You are basically attempting to produce charcoal from wet wood and collecting the condensation.
Your quantity will depend on the size of your chamber .
An average barrel sized chamber will yield 8-10 liters in 8 hours time.
You are going to want to burn fresh woods to harness the maximal amount of condensation.
As well the best way to do this since it takes 6 months to ferment is to produce in large quantity .
Pruning nearby trees instead of cutting them down will ensure over time they grow back and you have a sustaining supply of wood and thinner sticks and branches are easier to get lit up and get more vinegar faster.
Farm Usage :
8-10 tsp for 16 liters of water.
2 tsp roughly per liter
